Achensee Clearly Now The Rain Is Gone...

It wasn't all bright and sunny, in fact, thunderstorms crept up most afternoons.
The See Bar, before the storm...
They are ready for it...see the glass toward the lake? That goes up and down like a car window; slid up as soon as it started to rain.
No matter, we worked around it. In addition to FlyDay, there was E-Bike Day.
Probably the only time I'll ride a KTM...or should I say a Bajaj? 😂
Have to say...these bikes are awesome! No idea what the specs are, but similar Bosch controller to the bikes we rented last year in Pitztal. Including "Turbo" mode. 😎. Really nice to ride, comfortable and the electronic shifting is also amazing.
Rode all around the lake...which has a dedicated bike path and, for most of it, a separate, dedicated walking path. Nice.
The red one is a 2002 tii...if you know, you know... 😎
Of course, there are opportunities for refreshments...an eiskaffe, Krisanne's new favorite...
A fun day exploring around the lake, and the bikes used almost no power...very impressed.

BTW, this is what the paraglide equipment packs into...and Krisanne says it weighs nothing...
Interesting cable car that takes you up...two groups of five cars, each at "opposite ends," had not seen that before.
Lots of hiking opportunities; it is a ski area in winter.
Guess what else? An Alm, of course...

Walking around the lake also includes, of course, walking into the lake...
Because there's always a reward!
And what is Lake Life without a boat? Electric...slow but quiet. 😂

A final...literal...note... At about 12:05 pm and 6:05 pm every day, Ave Maria plays loudly outside and around our hotel. You may have noticed that the area around the hotel is a landing zone for the parasail gliders but, more importantly, they are farmers' fields.
Why the Ave Maria? It is to tell the farmers that it is time for lunch and time to stop work.
How can you not love that?
We had a great time at Achensee, but tomorrow...Gerlos and Grossglockner!!!
