To the Mediterranean

My Swiss hosts, Chris and Doris, were going to be at the Hotel Liliana in Diano Marina for several days, so we picked an overnight to meet up. Side benefit: we get to ride along the Mediterranean coast and the hotel has a spectacular view. But frankly, friendship was the real draw, and I certainly owed them at least a bottle of wine (in addition to the aspirin)!
It was an autostrada route there and back, so not really fun, and Expensive! Krisanne had toll duty, and she was monied up with what we thought would be enough. After putting the ticket in the machine, she yells, "I need another 20 euro!" It was fast, though, and we were rewarded with poolside drinks, food and a view!
Chris and Doris also shared some photos of their trips to Sardinia and Croatia...more places for "the list." We'll run out of time and money...
Good food, good breakfast and a quick, but windy, ride back to Casa Olea, managing to dodge most of the rain. Until next year!
