Petal-ing the GS
We've had a fairly wet winter, and that's led to a vibrant wildflower season. A ride to Why and lunch in Ajo revealed a carpeted, fragrant, beautiful desert.
Why Why, you ask? Arizona state Routes 85 and 86 originally intersected in a "Y" intersection and, at the time, Arizona state law required a town to have 3 letters so the town's founders decided to call it "Why." Perhaps ironically, the original "Y" intersection is no more, replaced for "safety reasons" in this town of 116 inhabitants.
A Fiat 124 Spider, in Why. That's a why question if there ever was one. I hope she finds a good home, they are pretty, fun cars.
