The Vegas Showgirl Gets Her Bling On
Those are TechSpec tank pads...nice and grippy, and no scuffs. Easy, peasy install, like on every other bike I've had.
Got two different bags, the smaller I'll use for everyday, the larger for solo trips. That way, I can take it off and the Geza cover from my old GS should fit over the saddlebags no problem; no need for a new cover.
I try very, very hard to avoid riding at night, but just in case, some black reflective panels custom cut for the panniers.
The rear wheel of the single sided swing arm Ducati use a very large 55 mm nut, something most non-Ducati dealers would never have. Wanted a socket "on board" just in case I need a tire change while traveling.
Making her mine...

I wanted something smaller than the factory top case for everyday use. The top case is great when we're 2-up, a secure backrest and it will hold 2 full face helmets...so it's BIG for everyday use, and even for solo travel.
Givi makes a tank lock pad that straps to the rack, that seemed perfect.

The smaller bag
Top box goes on the shelf, along with the Givi tank bag...patiently waiting. 😂
Navigation up next...ordered a mount for the Chigee from Amazon...works well, with a little modification.
Well positioned, right above the dash and does not block your view. However, the mount as delivered puts some "twist" into the mechanism that allows the screen to be raised and lowered.
Solved with a few 22mm stainless washers on each side to relieve the stress. Screen goes up and down like buttah. Nice to have it low for more air flow, and higher for more protection at speed.

My carry tools had to be modified...Ginger was all Torx, Gina is all Hex. A very nice Wera hex set solves that problem.

This all fits neatly under the pillion seat...a small tire inflator and plug kit go in the tail bag.
All work and no play...is not gonna happen. 😎. I've put on just shy of 1300 miles since purchase.
Showing Gina the sights and bonding...
Nice new pavement on Old Sonoita Highway.
