An auto show on the piazza next to the lake. Really, how can you not go?
But even before we leave Varenna, there's this little beauty

One stop on the train and a short walk to the piazza...
An Abarth, the 600cc performance version... 😀
It has been very hazy these past few days, unfortunately.
More memories...mine was brown...

Very nice Fiat 124 Spyder, always loved these but never owned one.
Not sure about the aftermarket racing seats...a bit out of place...

Including past the sailing school we saw on Ferry Day
Not part of the car show, just out and about!

Local art, some of which, we believe, was made at the adjacent bronze foundry, which was once an artists' haven.
The foundry building now, sadly, seems abandoned. Hmmmm....that could be an interesting rehab project...
Lunch lakeside...
A fun day in Bellano, quick 5 minute train ride back to Varenna and the hike up the hill to Perledo because...no bus on Sunday!
And just for fun...last night, there was a concert at the church directly above Casa Olea, as well as fireworks across the lake at Menaggio.
