Ducati Preview Tour

Ducati Preview Tour

My wife and I went up to GoAZ Motorcycles in Scottsdale today for the Ducati Preview Tour, introducing the new Multistrada, Scrambler and Panigale.  The Multistrada is on our "list" as a potential replacement for the R12GS, aka "The Hammer" as our traveling bike.  We were both very comfortable on it; she's got as much if not slightly more room on the Multistrada compared to a current GS, which was also on the showroom floor.  For the driver, the Duc's bars are very slightly closer, but otherwise just as roomy.  Comfy seats, at least in the showroom, and a very clever one-handed quick adjust windscreen.

Surprisingly, it looks absolutely stunning in white.  Has a touch of grey in it; really sets off the contours.

LED headlights with "cornering" lights, standard on the S model.

Essentially the same color dash as on my Monster 1200S, which means lots of info that can't be seen at all in direct sun.

Beautifully integrated bag mounts.  The bags themselves are black, with a satin silver accent.  Good news b/c I really don't like painted bags; too hard to maintain.  Very slim in the waist, so not a bad reach to the ground.

The Scrambler was also a big hit, and I can see it bringing lots of new folks into motorcycling.

The Panigale, although beautiful, was almost ignored.

Some bonus bikes in the parking lot:

Yummy!!!
Memories…

We were also able to test sit the new Triumph 800XC and the KTM Adventure, which are both off the list now.  It is going to come down to the Multistrada or another GS…which would be our third in a row…hmmmmmmmmmmm…

Behind GoAZ is a classic car shop…some bonus photos…
